The Blue Oyster
The blue oyster is the most robust and has the largest fruits. It's a very forgiving strain, making it great for beginners as well as experienced growers! The fruits start out brilliantly blue and turn gray as they mature. They grow best in cooler temperatures and can handle drier environments. If you're looking for a full-proof grow with large fruits then this is the way to go.

The Pink Oyster
Pink oysters are strikingly beautiful and produce flower-like bouquets of overlapping fruits. They are stunningly pink when they're young, but start to whiten with age. Out of the three strains, these will most likely give you the three flushes if the conditions are right. However, they prefer warmer temperatures and slightly higher humidity. A great choice for the summer months!

The Golden (Yellow) Oyster
Golden or yellow oysters will produce a higher number of fruits that are smaller than the other strains. They fruit sporadically from wherever they choose, and rarely fruit from all 4 holes at the same time. They are the most finicky of the three and require more patience. The mushrooms themselves are more delicate and have a shorter shelf-life so it's best to eat them 1-2 days after you harvest. Similar to pink oysters, yellows thrive in warmer temperatures and higher humidity

I ordered a custom box as a birthday gift and it turned out so well. The design and the end result was exactly how id have wanted it. The mushrooms tasted great too. I was able to get a second growth of mushrooms as well (at least from a couple of the hope openings)...So that was a nice bonus! It looks really cool as a display piece
