Emil Abramyan
Emil Abramyan, the founder of Pink Buffalo Organics, is a musician turned mycologist whose journey into the world of mushrooms began nearly two decades ago. Growing up in Los Angeles, his curiosity was sparked when mushrooms unexpectedly appeared in his family’s backyard during a landscaping project. Fascinated by this phenomenon in the arid landscape of L.A., he began researching and experimenting with mushroom cultivation, a passion that would grow alongside his music career.
Trained as a cellist at Manhattan School of Music, Emil spent years performing professionally, blending his classical training with electronic music and sound design. His love for mushrooms continued to develop as a hobby until the pandemic in 2020 halted his music gigs and offered a rare opportunity to go all-in on mycology. Emil founded Pink Buffalo Organics in 2022, combining his two worlds by crafting sustainable mushroom products that embody both science and art.
Emil is committed to making high-quality mushroom products accessible to everyone, whether through Pink Buffalo’s beginner-friendly grow kits or the health-boosting extracts he formulated with a careful eye for purity and potency. As an active member of the mycology community, Emil frequently shares his knowledge at events like the Mushroom Summit, where he instructs and inspires others to explore the vast potential of fungi.
Today, Emil continues to lead Pink Buffalo Organics with the same curiosity and creativity that first brought him to the world of mushrooms. His commitment to education and sustainability drives the company forward, as he works to cultivate a new generation of mushroom enthusiasts who see fungi not just as organisms but as a powerful, natural resource for health and well-being.
